new poem

they are few and far between these days, but one came out last night. here it be.

it's time

it's time the trees liberate
their leaves
so they can rough and tumble down
the half-moon-lit street.

it's time for these blustery gusts
of wind
to swipe over more
than unassuming house plants
dwelling outdoors
for the warmer months.

because
sometimes,
sometimes,
those who want to live,
die.
and those who want to die,
live.
